Additional New Moon Information

I FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THOSE TERRIFYING NIGHTMARES…
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. . . .
Legions of readers entranced by the New York Times bestseller Twilight are hungry for the continuing story of star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural spin. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

What Customers Say About New Moon:

To make things even more difficult, Jacob is now avoiding her. She takes pictures of Edward and her friends. His voice gives her guidance when she gets herself in trouble, which is often. One day, she meets the vampire Laurent in the woods. Bella continues to brood and by the third chapter, Bella is having premonitions of trouble.

He's no good for her, and he doesn't want her to come along. When Alice finds Bella OK, she realizes that her sight has holes where the werewolves are concerned. So then it's a race against time for them to save Edward from himself.Of course, they're successful. And so we end the book with Bella fretting over her desire to become a vampire while Edward remains opposed. The book opens with Bella suffering a nightmare on the eve of her 18th birthday. She has become her grandmother while Edward hasn't aged at all. He makes her promise not to do anything reckless or stupid, and then he leaves. They forge a bond over motorcycles and reckless behavior because Bella has discovered she can hear Edward's voice when she is reckless.

She doesn't want this, so she makes an effort to reconnect with her friends. She's successful in reconnecting with Jacob. She jumps off a cliff just for fun. Just to make things really interesting, the Volturi have made this a condition of their freeing Edward, Alice, and Bella. Edward is distraught and goes to Italy to seek permission from the Volturi to end his life. She runs after him and falls exhausted in the woods where the search party finally finds her. This results in Alice coming back to Forks because she's seen Bella jump and fears the worst.

He's still 17. She is saved by the wolves that've been causing trouble for tourists in the area. Her father threatens to send her back to her mother since he can't make her happy anymore. Edward tells her the Cullens are leaving. She's numb with shock, and Ms Meyers conveys the deadness by having November, December, and January pass as single words on the page.

I have not read in years, and I simply could not put this series down. I am an Edward fan for sure, so even though I loved reading this book. I really couldn't wait to get to the parts about Edward.

I have read all the books at least five or six times. I just can't get enough.

Not a controlling stalking obsessive abusive guy like Edward. Relationship wise Meyer could of saved her series by having Bella get with Jacob and get over Edward. I was hoping that would happen but no it didn't, Jacob is the healthy non-controlling shoulder to lean on there for you guy any girl should want.

But, that said, I would still highly recommend this book. By the end of the novel, we are so in tune with Edward and Jacob that it's easy to picture their moods, movements, and have a good guess at what they'll do next. The downside of "New Moon": The Twilight novels are very slow paced, which is fine. This one just doesn't seem like they've gotten very far by the end, and it felt like it was more or less setting the reader up for what is to come in "Eclipse". I totally enjoyed Stephanie Myer's "New Moon", a sweet yet dark tale of a girl and a vampire kept apart by circumstances, and a little emotional fling on the side with a werewolf. The prose is magnificent and pulls you along, while the characters are unique and prolific. And I'm not just talking about the 1st person POV. It may sound far fetched if you haven't read any of the Twilight series, but Meyer's presents even the most bizarre senarios in a way that makes them believable.I believe Stephanie Meyer's magic lies in the way she makes the reader feel so closely connected with Bella. It's as if the reader feels like they know Bella on a personal level (whether they choose to love her or hate her), and the prose makes it feel as if we crawl inside her head, spellbound by her stream of consciousness.
